is a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher (500 hr) and Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. With 4 years of experience teaching yoga and 10 years of practice she brings a deep understanding of body mindfulness to her classes.
She graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelors in Studio Art in 2016. She has also studied many aspects of yoga from pranayama, breath work, to Ayurveda. She is currently studying to be an Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher at Kripalu School of Yoga, and supplements her classes with her current knowledge.
With her background in art she uses creativity to piece together invigorating and unique class flows combining breath with movement. Working to balance the mental, emotional and physical body. Her classes are light, fun, and open to students of all levels and abilities. She focuses on creating a practice that is supportive, informative, and relaxing for her students so that they can move into their daily lives feeling ready to take on whatever comes their way.

Michelle’s classes are inventive, combining breath work and movement to create a flow of postures that provides balance for the mental, emotional and physical body. Her classes are light, fun, and open to everyone of any ability or experience level.
Shannon O’Haverty has been a practicing yoga teacher for 8 years. She teaches Yoga to adults and children. Shannon teaches, gentle, basic, restorative and therapeutic Yoga. She received her Yoga training at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox Massachusetts, Yoga Point in Nasik India, and Rainbow Yoga for kids in Montreal Canada. Shannon has also studied women’s therapeutic Yoga under Soni Anderson and Tina Nance. Ms. O’Haverty is currently pursuing a degree in counseling and mental health where she is doing her research on the use of gentle Yoga as an addendum to psychotherapy treatment for generalized anxiety.
Sara Rolley is a professional level Kripalu yoga teacher. Sara has studied yoga as well as diverse disciplines including t’ai chi, belly dance, and exercise physiology. Sara has incorporated aspects of each to develop a unique yoga practice that fosters physical wellness, mental calm, and connection.
In Sara’s classes, students of various conditions and body type are invited to explore movement with kindness, curiosity, and compassion. Sara’s classes are tailored specifically for the Serenity students in each class, with the intention of offering safety, comfort, and choice combined with challenge. Sara presents classic asana at a pace that encourages attention to alignment and space for breath, present moment awareness, and meditative focus. She offers small and large movements to warm-up, experience, strengthen, and stretch. Sara brings knowledge from her interests (yogic relaxation and yoga nidra, meditation, mindful eating, yoga dance, and therapeutic applications of yoga) into the studio for nurture and transformation.
Sara has developed a specialty class, Woman’s Pelvic Yoga. Sara continues to study with well-respected practitioners of Kripalu and other disciplines. Sara has attained additional certification as a Let Your Yoga Dance® Teacher and as a Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher.

Rebecca Winter fell in love with Yoga as a teenager and has found strength, flexibility and peace through her daily practice. She has had the privilege of studying several styles of Yoga including, but not limited to, Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Anusara and Kundalini. As a teacher, she combines these styles to create a healing practice that suits all body types and skill levels. In addition to Yoga, Rebecca has studied Muscular Therapy along with several other bodywork modalities and she currently owns Innovative Bodywork & Yoga in Winchester, MA. As a Massage Therapist and Bodyworker, Rebecca is fascinated with anatomy and kinesiology and she brings that love to the mat while safely exploring the limits of the body and mind. She believes Yoga is a fantastic outlet to increase flexibility and strength while calming and focusing the mind through movement and breath. Her practices are free-flowing and anything but rigid. To practice Yoga is to accept how it feels in your body each day, to explore the difference and to gently challenge yourself to evolve further.
Nina Carmel is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor and Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. She has twenty years’ experience teaching Yoga and Meditation in Europe and the United States. She teaches a full-schedule of Yoga and Meditation classes, workshops and retreats. Nina is founding director of The Therapy Center for Mind and Body, LLC in the Boston area. She is a Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Consultant with specialties in Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Trauma and Healing, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Her work as both a therapist and teacher is to help others learn to be in authentic relationship with themselves, with others and with the wider dimension of life. Nina teaches weekly classes at Serenity Yoga Center.
Eric Read is a 200 hour certified instructor in the Raja Yoga tradition trained at Frog Pond Yoga in Princeton, MA in 2001. He came to Yoga through meditation practice, study of spiritual writings and appreciation of the possibilities our bodies express in the physical movements of sport and dance. His special interests include the teachings of the Yoga Sutra, individualized practice and offering Yoga to all types of people.

Emmie Stamell is a Kripalu Certified Yoga teacher (200 hr), massage therapist and Ayurvedic practitioner. She has been teaching for eight years. She brings a balanced dynamic of playfulness and meditative awareness to her classes. Ayurveda, a sister science of Yoga, informs and inspires Emmie’s teaching and her personal life. When the bodymind moves with the rhythm of the breath and with regard to kala (time of year, time of one’s life and time of day) we find ourselves purified, energized and deeply relaxed. The heart of Emmie’s teaching encourages gentle self-nourishment and strengthening through loving-kindness to one’s body, mind and spirit.
Elizabeth McQuaid received her 200 hour certification at the School of Hatha Yoga at the Ananda Ashram in Monroe, NY. She has also trained with David Vendetti and Todd Skoglund of South Boston Yoga and Natasha Rizopoulos.
Elizabeth believes that the benefits of a yoga practice are available to all students – natural flexibility is not a requirement! Her classes combine Vinyasa Flow with a strong emphasis on alignment and modifications.
Elizabeth took her first yoga class more than 10 years ago and has continued to find the practice to provide perspective, laughter and space for quiet reflection. She is grateful to her teachers past and present and feels honored to share this practice with others!

Susan has been practicing yoga for over a decade and became a Kripalu certified instructor in 2015. She been sharing her love for yoga while guiding classes at her cottage community in Maine, visiting with shut ins, friends and family. She plans to continue training to reach her 500 hour certification with a particular interest in special populations. She appreciates one of the cornerstones of Kripalu yoga “self observation without judgment” and considers her yoga training one of the healthiest things she continues to do for herself.
Diane Walsh never believed Yoga was “her thing” because it was “too slow…too boring…it’s just stretching”. Those were her thoughts – until she attended her first Yoga class in 2007. A friend of hers wh o did not want to go to a class alone pressured the reluctant Diane to attend her first Yoga class. That was when Diane fell completely and totally in love with Yoga: the mind, the body and the spirit of Yoga. Diane could not get enough of Yoga and was able to arrange for a barter agreement with CorePower Yoga in Colorado Springs, CO so she could continue her Yoga practice without financial stress. And practice she did, sometimes twice daily. She also workshops to advance her knowledge and expand her skills, including the NUT (Nutrition) program, Yogi Training, a Wellness Cleanse as well as workshops that taught her how to do arm balances, inversions and more. This ultimately lead to her completion of her teacher training in Hot and Hot Power Fusion from CorePower Yoga in 2010.
Yoga has helped Diane heal from so many obstacles in her life. “Never do I feel more at home, at peace, than I do when I am on my mat” Diane’s desire is to share this feeling of pure joy and love, this practice of Yoga and help others to grow and heal for their greatest and highest good.
is a professional level teacher (500hours) certified in the Kripalu tradition. She holds a certification with Yoga Warriors, bringing yoga to our military veterans and all that live with PTSD. Her latest adventure ( besides striking Warrior II pose on top of Angel’s Landing in Zion) was delving into the world of mudras ( the gestures of the hands). Working with IYT ( Integrative Yoga Therapy) she enjoyed an amazing course on the therapeutic use of the mudras. Mudras bring another dimension to the practice as they can heal, calm, cool, balance, clarify, heat, energize and inspire the body, mind and spirit. The myriad uses of the mudras are woven into her classes.
Cyndy started out as a professional ballet dancer with the Eliot Feld Ballet (now known as Ballet Tech) of New York City. Her passion for dance and movement are evident in her creative offerings for her classes. Cyndy celebrates 17 years teaching yoga. Kripalu is the Yoga of Compassion, and as such, Cyndy has embraced all traditions – she has studied and continues to practice Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini, as well as the Anusara styles of Yoga. The Kripalu tradition fosters our exploration of the many facets of Yoga so that we may share the blessings of all approaches with our students.
My focus for my students is to help them refine their alignment with precision. They then have the confidence to make choices for their own practice within the class setting. Every moment on the mat (as in life) is a choice. By practicing with integrity, students improve their yoga practice by strengthening, lengthening, calming and restoring their bodies and minds. I offer creative posture flows and encourage my fellow yogis to explore, create and recreate themselves. Through yoga we discover the many gifts of love, laughter, grace, strength, serenity, and wellness that we all have within.
I have practiced yoga for over 25 years and have had the opportunity to teach and assist programs at the Kripalu Yoga Center in Lenox, Ma . The many gifted teachers and presenters that I have had the honor of working with at Kripalu inspire me.
The shift in my life years ago that opened the door to yoga for me, was the end of my marriage. I had the rug pulled out from under me and replaced it with a yoga mat. As a single parent, yoga provides both the grounding and the community to feel whole, love yourself and do your best for your family.
Charlotte Ott has been practicing Yoga since the early 90’s. She received her 200-hour certification at Kripalu in 2005 and her 300-hour certification with Shiva Rea in 2009. Additional certifications include: Circus Yoga, Yoga Ed, Thai Yoga Massage, and Reiki Level I. Charlotte’s classes have a smooth and flowing nature to them. Students are encouraged to use their breath to transition from one posture to another. Personal attention and hand-on assists are offered to those interested. Charlotte’s style of Yoga has a Kripalu base, which emphasizes how the postures feel in your body rather than how you look doing them, integrated with a flowing nature. The results is a flowing style of Yoga that encourages you to feel the postures from the inside out. Charlotte uses a technique of grooving, or pulsing in a pose to help students connect with their ideal expression of a pose in addition to facilitating emotional and physical release.
Charlotte has created several specialized classes including: Family Yoga, Anatomy and Physiology Through Yoga for High School Students, Yoga for Young Shakespeare Performers, Yoga for Aspiring Runway Models, and Yoga/Science/Nutrition for Homeschool. Charlotte’s intention for her students it to cultivate an ability to see and listen to your body on a deeper and subtler level in addition to wakening and sustaining consciousness. Charlotte is also a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. She practices health coaching and leads workshops on whole foods nutrition.
Asha Ramesh is a certified Hatha yoga teacher from The Yoga Studio in Boston. She is a registered 200 hour yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance. She has been practicing yoga for over thirty years and teaching for the past ten years. Asha is originally from South India, the home to the Krishnamacharya Healing & Yoga Foundation which represents the living teaching of Yogacharya T Krishnamacharya. She lives in Massachusetts with her family, a Director in the Information Technology area by day, and a yoga teacher by night. Her plan for her yoga future is to work towards her 500 hour Kripalu certification.
Asha is dedicated to being a yoga teacher and has faith in the healing aspects of meditation, breath work and asana as one unit. She likes to talk and teach from the heart. She is influenced greatly by Barbara Benagh’s slow flow and breath work during practice. She shares sensitivity to students’ needs in her teaching. She believes that yoga is the only form of physical and mental exercise that offers multiplicity and variations. Hence a yoga way of living is suitable for anyone at any given point of time in their lives.
Asha has a philosophical approach to teaching and advises yoga practitioners to pause and listen to your body, then linger and breathe consciously. In her practice, she feels the need to be humble so that we are aware of the journey and not the destination. In line with this philosophy she applies various styles to her Hatha yoga teaching keeping it relevant to the needs of her students.
“There is no ‘one size fits all’ in yoga. If one feels good from within, it will reflect on the physical self and will transmit the goodness to others. It is the greatest form of self-help that we can give ourselves. Anything that makes me aware of love, friendship, peace, harmony, strength, and courage, health and wellness is the ultimate elixir of life, and Yoga does it for me. I am hoping it will do this for more people than just me.”
